If you have taken the time to articulate your Purpose, create your Vision Statements, identify the 5 – 7 major Obstacles to living your vision and identified some first Action Steps to get around the obstacles and a move toward living your vision – congratulations!  We are really impressed with your commitment to creating a life that is good for you!

If you haven’t completed all of these steps, we hope you will look back through each of the posts, work on each step and move forward on creating a life that you love.

Just so you know, when we say, “creating a life that you love” we are not suggesting for a moment that that is a life without struggle, frustration, loss and pain.  The nature of being a human is that we all – every single one of us, rich or poor, educated or not, in a relationship or alone – we all face pain, sadness, loss and struggle.  Creating a life that you love is a life that is in alignment with your purpose, and involves taking steps each day to have the most satisfying connections, the greatest confidence in your abilities, the drive to find work that matters to you, the commitment to take care of your body, and the presence of mind to look inward to your spirit.  Creating a life you love is a work in progress that often happens around the sadness, disappointments and frustrations of a life on this earth.

The act of reminding yourself each day that you matter and that the quality of your life matters and then following through on taking the Action Steps to get around the Obstacles and live closer to your Vision will change you.

“Life is a journey, not a destination” is a sentiment that describes this work – it involves creating a journey where you come back, day after day, to working to live closer to your vision so that your journey (your life) will be one that you love more and more.

This week, we simply want you to organize your work onto one page.  It can be typed or written by hand but we want you to have a visual of this work that you just completed.  There is no right way to do this but one way that we think can be helpful (on paper turned sideways)  looks like this  – with each of your statements listed:

We encourage you to take time each day this week to look at your Purpose, Your Vision for your life, the Obstacles that are in the way of living your vision right now and the Action Steps that you believe will get you around the Obstacles and living closer to your vision.  This week . . . just look it over and see if it excites you.  If not, take some time to tweak it so that it defines a future you would like to create.
